Lifestyle Turf synthetic turf recommended by Damien Oliver
Champion Jockey Damien Oliver is the latest in a growing band of high profile
sportspeople to commission leading artificial turf company, Lifestyle Turf, to install their
highly sought-after artificial turf and golf greens.
Damien, who has been playing golf for about fifteen years, hadn't originally intended installing
a home putting green.
"With the drought, our lawn has turned into a bit of a disaster," he said,
"so we thought we'd put some fake turf in the back yard." But when he read an article on Lifestyle
Turf's artificial golf greens, he decided on a putting green instead.
"I had to talk the wife into
putting in a golf green. She wasn't real happy with me, but in the end she was really pleased with
how it turned out."
Apart from being able to practice whenever he likes, Damien also benefits from a green that requires

mowed, watered, fertilised, cored, top-dressed or sprayed with pesticides.
The whole family is delighted with the new green.
"I have two young kids, and I have to fight them at
times to use it," Damien said. Not only does he get to practice his putting, but he says it's a good
social thing as well.
"If I have a barbecue with a few friends, we can have a bit of fun with that,"
he said. "It looks great. It's added a bit of character to the backyard. Lifted it up and shaped it a
bit. We've incorporated a few bunkers, and we've put some olive trees in the bunkers as well."
Damien has nothing but praise for Lifestyle Turf.
"The crew was really friendly, and they got the job
done really quickly," he said.
But has his new home putting green improved his game?
"Not sure yet," Damien said. "I'll let you
know on that!"
