DOW Styrofoam Roofmate Avance™ has been specifically designed for
insulated roof membrane assembly (IRMA) applications. Made from extruded polystyrene
foam, DOW Styrofoam Roofmate Avance™ combined high compressive strength rating and
superior water resistant properties make it ideal for your flat concrete and metal
deck roofing applications.
In Australia's extreme climatic conditions, noted for its high levels of ultraviolet
radiation, with summer air temperatures often exceeding 40°C and winter night temperatures
falling below 0°C, can cause havoc with some traditional membrane materials, making
them susceptible to fractures and leaking. DOW Styrofoam Roofmate Avance™ long term
retained R-Value helps keep the membrane at a constant temperature thus minimising
the harmful effects of thermal cycling, expansion and contraction, ultra-violet
degradation and mechanical damage - the most common causes of premature roof failure.
The exceptional robustness of DOW Styrofoam Roofmate Avance™ provides the optimum
insulating substrate for the construction of rooftop traffic decks, promenades, terraces and
gardens. DOW Styrofoam Roofmate Avance™ extruded polystyrene insulation uses a CFC and
HCFC free blowing agent, is free from ozone depleting gasses (ODP) and is Green Star
compliant.
